The Art of Japan’s Manhole Covers

All over Japan you can find these incredible manhole covers, apparently, thanks to someone high up in the construction ministry to raise awareness around sewage projects being undertaken. There is even a  Japanese Society of Manhole Covers that says there are about 6000 of these around.
